Who’s it for

You don’t have to hunt to belong here

We use the word sportsman loosely. There will be hunters, fishermen, and ball-game fanatics — and plenty of men who are none of the above and fit right in. If you can eat, laugh, and shake a hand, you qualify.

Sportsman-minded ladies are welcome too, and kids are part of the night — they get their own giveaway drawing. This is the one night a year our men bring the friend they’ve been meaning to invite.

Keynote speaker

Nikita Koloff

“The Russian Nightmare” · 5-time world champion

From 1984 to 1992 he was one of the most recognizable men in professional wrestling — NWA, WCW, UWF. The bigger turn came after the ring: on October 17, 1993, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.

Since then he’s preached in roughly 1,200 churches across 28 denominations, all 50 states, and 30 countries. He runs Koloff for Christ Ministries and ManCamp, and hosts It’s Time to Man Up on the Truth Network. Minnesota-born, he now makes his home down the road in Concord, NC.

What the night looks like

Five hours of the good stuff

Hatchet throwing at the banquet

Hatchet throwing

Steel in the stump. Bring your form or come learn it — the coaches are patient and the targets are forgiving.

Outdoor games and coaching

Casting & games

A fishing accuracy casting competition, a hay ride, and yard games running from 4:00 til dark.

A camo wall of mounted bear, turkey, deer and fish

The mount hall

Our worship center fills with mounted deer, bear, turkey and fish brought in by local hunters and fishermen. Ask them the story.

A room of men singing together, surrounded by mounts

All-men’s worship

Music before and during the event, then a room of men singing together. It hits different when it’s all bass and baritone.

The keynote message in the worship center

A stirring message

The heart of the night. Nikita tells his story straight — championship belts, a changed life, and why Jesus is worth your attention.

The prize table loaded with donated giveaways

Giveaways

Separate drawings for adults and kids, stocked by local businesses. You have to be in the room to win.

Run of show

Saturday, October 17

Dinner under the tent

Served outside under a big tent, with our Titus 2 Women helping plate it up. Games keep running, so eat when it suits you.

7:00 – 9:00

Indoors: worship, message, giveaways

All-men’s worship team, a celebration of our veterans, Nikita Koloff’s message, and the drawings to close the night.

The table

Wild game and all the fixings

Cooked by our men, served with the help of our Titus 2 Women. Nothing exotic for the sake of it — just food you’ll go back for.

Details

Got questions? Get answers.

What should I wear?

Whatever you’d wear to a cookout. Camo, boots, ball cap — all at home here. Part of the night is outdoors, so bring a jacket for after dark.

Can I bring my kids? My wife?

Yes. Kids 10 and under are $10 and have their own giveaway drawing. The event is aimed at men, but sportsman-minded ladies are genuinely welcome — register them at the regular price.

Where do I park, and where do I go first?

Park in the main lot at 1135 W Academy St, Madison. Head for the tent out back — that’s where the games and the food are until 7:00, when everything moves into the worship center.

I’ve got a mount I’d like to display. Can I?

We’d love it. Email men@nvf.life and we’ll work out drop-off, placement, and pickup.

Can I pay at the door?

Buy online ahead of time if you can — it’s the only way to guarantee your seat, and it locks in the lower price. We can add tickets at the door only if any of the 225 are left. If you’d rather not pay online, call the church office at (336) 427-6264 and we’ll get you registered in person.

Bring somebody

Don’t come alone

The whole point is the empty seat next to you. Text a buddy, your brother-in-law, the guy at work who hunts. Buy his ticket if that’s what it takes.
